What's a 'necessary risk'. Is driving to the movies on a highway a risk worth taking? You could get hit by a drunk driver and get arthritis when you're old. If you have kids and take them skiing would you feel bad that you took an unnecessary risk?

We all take risks every day of our lives and everyone has a personal level of risk tolerance. It's not worth judging whether the risks others take are appropriate.
