All my film winds up digital anyway. I send all mine off for processing (although working toward a darkroom setup, as alluded to earlier), and the processor scans all the negatives. They offer various scan qualities, with prices varying accordingly. My images are delivered on a CD, and also uploaded to the company's website, accessible via password.
I could be wrong, but I don't think color paper is available any more for wet prints. For DIY wet prints, B&W is the only option. All color (I think) is inkjet or something similar.
As far as film, my go-to films are Kodak Tri-X for B&W, and Fuji Provia 100F for color slides. I still experiment with other films, but rely on those for most of what I do.
As far as ASA/ISO 64, I'm not sure what's available since the lamentable demise of Kodachrome.
What do they charge to soup and digitize a roll of 36? What dpi are the scans?
Yeah you can still get Kodak RA-4 color prints.
I don’t know if they still make it these days, but Ilford made a C41 process 400 ISO B&W film that was fantastic. I would shoot it at 100 ISO and get fantastic results. It was great for photo restoration copy work too before quality scanners came on the scene.
