Yes a walmart bike, she hardly ever rides it. I figured that would be the case, hence the Wally bike.
This shouldn't be a problem if the chain line is straight. Without any chain offset to derail the chain, and with correct chain tension (just enough to eliminate droop), it won't be a problem. Thousands of fixie conversions are living proof.
