Update: Well, I'm still seat post shopping, but did find all Specialzed saddles 25% off at a LBS.
The only Toupe in stock was a Pro 143. I measure to the border of 143/155 in the Toupe so I decided to give it a go even though I wanted to spend less.
Took my usual spin just now and had zero of the pressure or discomfort I'd been having before! I especially like how it feels in the drops and on more spirited efforts. However, right about the time I usually felt the pressure, today I found my sit bones not so much in pain, but more like I became very aware of them...if that makes sense. I wonder if I'm not quite ready for "level 1" padding and need some time to toughen up coming from leather? Maybe need a size up?
Sales guy said I could swap it out for a Romin if I didn't like the Toupe and suggested a 155 in that model. They have several different Romin models to choose from. Shame there isn't a 155 Toupe and I think the sale was only for on stock.
Might head back for the Romin since I have some spare time today.
