Someone, I forgot who, posted a problem with his rotator cup in his shoulder. The symptoms were similar to mine. I got concerned because I have a cross country trip scheduled and do not want to do it in pain or under heavy medication.
So, reluctantly I went to a specialist who prescribed therapy and an MRI to see what is going on. BTW, after a day long ride in cold weather, I could not lift a cup of coffee.
The way my brain works, I was going to tough it out. The post on this forum made me change my mind. I will report the outcome. I hope it is not an operation.
Sorry to hear of your predicament, Will. Makes me wonder about a problem I've been having with my right shoulder for months now. Toward the end of a ride, I can barely lift my arm to signal a right turn. Hurts like hell, frankly, but goes away soon after. I just chalked it up to "age" or overwork on the weight bench and was also going to tough it out.

Hope you get better soon. Pain is no fun and you sure don't want to miss any riding time!

Take care,

Steve
