How likely are you going to have to return the bike for FRAME warranty repairs? Wheels, tires, bottom bracket & etc should be completely independent from the frame.

You should be able to argue that even if there is a frame warranty claim, that anything independent from your cage mod would be unaffected by that. So, mounting a cage on the seattube would have nothing to do with a fork or rear triangle failure.

Installing rivnuts should be a pretty simple procedure if one can get the tools in the right spot.
In theory I see how it should not matter. I am not always successful in debating with warranty people..

I think the Minoura would fit on the back of the saddle, then I can attach 1-2 cages on it.

Have you considered using a Camelbak or similar hydration system?
Where did you find those clamps? I have a 1.5L camelback. IT works well for me, but as my confidence in pedaling with one hand is better, and for shorter rides where I need less, I wanted the option of the extra water bottle.
