I would guess the opposite, but it would only take a minute to try it each way and see. You should be able to feel the difference. V-brake levers with cantis will feel rock hard but require extra hand strength to actually stop the bike. Canti levers with V-brakes will feel mushy and it will probably be impossible to set them up without the lever going all the way down to the bar.
