Just curious. The level of animosity towards police for doing their job is utterly mind numbing. I'm sure if you were robbed you'd just handle it yourself right, no need to call police. Car stolen? Meh, take care of it yourself.
For the most part, if you were either robbed or had your car stolen, unless it was really high-dollar stuff (Lamborghini or $50K in jewelry), I wouldn't expect much police help anyway other than to take down a report for insurance purposes.
