As far as I can see, you, who are accusing me of not caring about my rights as a cyclist - have not made one contribution regarding educating me or others about what those rights would be. You also attack another poster about having too many scared riders where he resides. We're all free to have our own opinions. Personally, I think you need to get off your computer and meet people in real life.
Context? The context is you getting hit while crossing a street in a designated crosswalk while RIDING a bicycle. Did you or did you not write about whether your rights as a pedestrian were violated in this instance? Tell all of us again.
My stance is clear.
Ride your bicycle on the street. That is your right as a cyclist.
When you are on a bicycle, you are not exercising your rights as a pedestrian.
