Dirt Rag published the
chapter in my book about the day in 1971 when I met Gary Fisher. All the action took place at the Grateful Dead office in San Rafael. Money quote was when Gary and I and Marmaduke, the singer in the New Riders, told Garcia we were going for a bike ride. Garcia said, "You won't run into ME out there!"
