You mentioned these are non-folding so I'm assuming these are steel bead rather than the lighter Kevlar. Does this size come in both Kevlar and steel? If so they may be listing the Kevlar weight but even so this wouldn't account for the extra heft. An email to Vittoria might get some answers.
