I found myself thinking the same thing.

@bigdo13, how much do you ride such that 2-3hrs on the bike doesn't add appreciable training stress? Are you training for a grand tour or something? Do you ride with a power meter? Check the TSS from your 2-3 hr ride and then tell me if it still counts as a "recovery ride."
