Another advantage is protection from wind and dust. Before needing prescription glasses, my eyes would tear easily. My prescription is mild, and I don't need it badly to see, but the bike is one place where I strongly prefer glasses, because it keeps wind out of my eyes. If you don't need prescription glasses, you may want to get non-corrective glasses or goggles to keep wind out. And you get to hang your mirror on them.
