I decided to give it a shot, will see how it works.

They rate food on "points" and you're allocated so many points a day. A number of healthier foods like fresh fruits and vegetables are zero points, so you can eat all of them you want. Then they have a phone app that gives you the points for a lot of other grocery items and restaurant foods- you can scan bar codes with it. Anyway, right now, looks like I'll have plenty to eat and will wind up avoiding some junk like soda pop and hotdogs and candy.

The meeting I went to, was maybe 20 people, 4 of us were guys, so yes, there's men there. Ages tended to be around my age, fewer young people. One of the guys that was there had just hit his 50 lb mark. Most of the people there were overweight, but not just huge, either. So it was mostly people needing to loose 40 lbs, not a 140 lbs or 400 lbs.
