Hi all,
If you're familiar with the GXP BB, you'll recall it comes with two black (2mm I believe) spacers. All of my research seemed to indicate that they were for MTB use only. I did not install them. I put it together without the spacers and torqued it to the recommended level. Unfortunately that results in about (2mm perhaps) of left to right play in the crank to BB shell interface. In other words, if you push in pull on the non-drive side crank arm it moves in and out along with the BB axle and the drive side crankarm and chainrings.
As I see it, I either need to add one of those spacers in, or try upping the torque a bit. If you're familiar with this system, could you share your thoughts? Do you think there is something amiss? If you think I should try a spacer (perhaps one only to start) which side would you put it on?

Edit to add the answer for future searchers. I found the torque spec I was using was too low. Using the spec from this page:
https://sram-cdn-pull-zone-gsdesign....nual-rev-a.pdf
It showed that for the 8mm wrench version of the crank, it calls for --
425 - 478 inch pounds or 48 - 54nm. It snugged right up at those levels.
Thanks!
