The LBS have offered to respray the damage sections and state that the warranty is still valid and they also offered me a helmet to a value of $100. There are also a couple of other options that they would like to discuss when I bring in the bike. They will also show me the response from Speacilized regarding the warranty. They commented that this is a common occurrence due to transportation from overseas.
Is it purely cosmetic? I don't know that I would be okay with cracking paint on a $1500+ bike. Common occurrence or not. Then again, cosmetic isn't going to hurt anything.
