This is my father's 1973-ish Tour de France. It came with some upgrades like a Campy seatpost and Brooks Professional saddle. The rest was OEM (ie - whatever Gitane had available). That's a very nice refurb' job. Your dad must have been very surprised to see the resurrection of his old bike. . . not to mention the successful ride with it!
