Roadmaster Cape Cod

Quite surprised to find not one image of a Cape Cod men's bike. This one is nifty for fact that it has a three speed hub, cottered crank, and everything works. The tires even aired up, so I was able to shift the Shimano S3 up and down a few times. Frame is built with neat looking lugs, although the front fork ends are flattened out. Original paint and decals are all there, metallic purple in color. For ten dollars, I thought it an alright deal. Never know when I might get someone else into riding, even found it kind of comfortable myself.

It's obviously cheap. Is it worth putting new rubber on?

Should I disassemble the S3 to clean and repack, prepare for future replacement, or ride it on the crusty gum walls until it quits?
