Got a nice and thorough response from ebikesca. So tell me, Outrunner front hub motor with 36v vs. 48v battery. What to expect? The 48v gives you more power and I suspect will therefore assist you to higher speeds. Does that take away from the ability to use the battery efficiently at lower speeds (i.e., will it be trying to give me more assist than I want) or could I just lower the output setting to save juice for longer rides? In other words a 48v can be there when I need it, but I can also tone it down when needed? Whereas, a 36v doesn't give you as much flexibility. Am I right?
