Well, first I want to thank everyone for their time and contributions. The carbon fiber bike arrived at my local Performance and I went over there this morning. Unfortunately, the bike was just too big for me, even with its 47cm frame. I couldn't straddle it without crushing some of my anatomy, and the sizing compared to my previously bought Finest was larger than I would be able to manage. I didn't even get as far as a test ride. Performance was great about it and issued me a refund on the spot. So, Fuji Finest it is - with mechanical disc brakes. I like the bike and it seems to fit. Although i got, what I think was a case of hip bursitis earlier in the week when I used the Fuji saddle and moved it up by about 1/2 inch. After returning from the store, I switched my carbon Specialized Pave seatpost with Fizik Aliante kium seat on, took a very short three mile test ride, and feel fine. I am happy this turned out well, and appreciate learning from the rest of you.
