Something to be aware of is the insurance, its third party and they have their own rules. Your packages are NOT FedEx insured.
This is a good thing. The last thing you want to do is fight over a claim with FedEx.
I have not had to make a claim with Bike Flights but my experience with some of these new 3rd party insurers like the ones for Stamps.Com has been very positive. And on items as or more expensive than most old bikes.
Of course proper packing is going to be the key. To avoid ever having to make a claim, but also to collect if you had to.
