Monday. Did 93km so I could finish up the Strava monthly miles challenge of 1250km in a month. Early in the ride a horse rider gave me a warning about a big brown snake on the road and sure enough a few hundred metres later there was a big fat mutha f***ing brown snake crossing the road. At least 2 metres long. I waited a bit for it to move towards the side of the road before zipping past. Later on I passed a much smaller green whip snake on a bike path. Even later I was riding back on the road and I could hear the familiar sound of all the little skinks scurrying through the leafs along the side of the road. It's spring time so all the reptiles are waking up.

I won't mention the dopey caravanist who decided he just had to overtake me right before a roundabout where he blocked me by slowing to a crawl. I also won't mention how he pissed me off so much that I hamer droped the sucker, passed him on his inside on the shoulder of the road and then took the lane (at 50kmh) in front of him and behind a little VW to make a turnoff at the next roundabout.
