Last month I did a four day ride on my Burley Hepcat. I will say that this was strictly a beginners level tour with little gear, overnights in hotels, and the forgiving terrain of Central IL. That said, I enjoyed the tour immensely and feel like my bike was the best tool for the job. I haven't used my recumbent for more loaded touring...yet. There are large panniers and midship racks available for the recumbent to put your gear where you need it.
