i have a similar problem- and as far as I know white hoods for 80s shimano 600 are pretty much unobtainable so I have lived with them and not replaced. how to make them not sticky? Just rub dirt into them. they wont be sticky. they also won't be white.

its sort of like trying to measure the velocity and position of a subatomic particle. You can have one or the other but not both.
