The Klein came with a 28h wheelset that's high flange rear, low flange front. They're keepers, but I won't be riding them until I trim down the keg I'm carrying around. Best guess is that high rear/low front was chosen to build a stiffer rear wheel and a front that's just a touch more compliant...who knows, and whether or not it makes a tangible difference may be a stretch. Mostly, I just think it's interesting. I'll abandon the idea for the 36h wheels at least.

I have a set of 32h rims and a 32h high flange rear to be built as an alternate set just because - though that may get a high flange front. Gotta think on that. I'll update the original post once I decide if I want a high or low flange front hub. If anyone reading this has one or the other they'd be willing to offer up, feel free to shoot me a PM or a message here.

Bought for the same purpose, I have a 32 low Record hub that I will not be using, due to changing circumstances. PM me if you decide to go low.

Cheers, Eric
