I can get in on this. 40 year old SVEA123 and a 15 year old GAZ butane/propane. I like the cartridges better.. instant heat.... and you can cook something without burning it.
White gas only good for boiling water, burns too hot. Also like the base on GAZ better.... try a frying pan on those little stoves and they tip over.. food in the dirt.
If all you do is eat freeze-dried crap, then you will be happy with white gas stove.
If you know how to cook ..... cartridges.
Helps to have a friend with another stove too.
