you will need a custom machined bolt it has to fit inside the brake with a shoulder to extend the brake boss cylinder.


better to just use a shorter pad, maybe a molded one piece shoe can be sawn off ..

a replaceable insert holder is open to the back, closed at the front,

but typically have a setscrew to hold the pad in, towards the rear. I wouldn't cut it off .
