Used nearly every stove out there and I like them all to be honest. All are well made and reliable. I think the Soto stoves are amazing personally; they are super popular here in Japan and are nearly bomb proof.
My personal favourite stove at the moment is an alcohol stoves. Cheap, impossible to kill unless you step on it and easy to find fuel for. Personal cooking setup weighs in at about 600 grams (burner, windscreen, Ti pot/pan/lid, spoon/chopsticks, lighter and about 10 days of fuel/300 mL), which is about what the Whisperlites stoves weigh alone... Cooks my food just fine, and takes me no longer to cook a meal than on a different fuel stove.
