Interesting. If this is the same guy, I thought I heard somewhere that he broke a wheel shortly in to the ride (like 300 miles in, but this guys pace makes me think this wasn't the same story). A bike shop was supposedly fixing him up with a rig that would handle the weight and ride. I have a hard time believing any bike is going to handle that kind of weight for long, but certainly there are stronger set ups than others.
