i firmly agree, which is why i wonder about all these middle aged men driving supercars around slow enough for us to pass them on bicycles
i never liked sustained high speeds though, i craved torquey acceleration more than top end. i got way more of a rush cracking the throttle and being at 60 in less than a block than anything. that pull of g forces is such an awesome feeling
