It is neither and is a late 1970s early 1980s built bike. All SSs and Superiors are fillet brased frames and that is a lugged frame bike. From the number G is Giant and the last number 3 is for 1983. Low end Tiawan built Schwinn. Not a bad bike but not anyware as good or valuable as the Superiors or SSs. By 1983 Schwinn no longer was making USA bikes except for the custom made Paramounts in Waterford WI. Roger
Roger, don't forget the Greenville, MS plant. Schwinn was building bikes there for more than ten years from mid-1981 until it closed on October 4, 1991.
