No good, bikes need to have a red light facing the rear. I've seen people occasionally using a white light facing rear on a bike and it's really annoying, and of course illegal.

You can put a red filter over it, but that greatly reduces brightness because you're filtering out all visible wavelengths except the red portion of the spectrum. It's better to run a light that uses actual red LED's.
