I've been thinking of upgrading my Microshift setup for a while now. The downclick sound is crazy loud, and the shifting cables coming out of the hood tops are bothering me. Plus I'm hoping to just get a smoother shifting experience.
I know I'd need to change the R Derailer but do I need to do F as well?
Is there some reason why these shifters are so cheap? Was going to hop on this, but it looks as if they're old or something? Reviews are from 2012?

Have you used Sram before? I like Sram. Rival is their less expensive group, but it's still very good, like Shimano 105, in my opinion. You can probably use your front derailleur. You can find a good used Sram Rival or Force rear derailleur on Ebay for $25 to $50. Using Sram rear derailleur and Sram shifter you should have smooth shifting.
