Holly cow! Hardly anyone is into alchy stoves. I have a MSR Whisperlite International and have used it for years. ALMOST failed apart on me once, but managed to get it back together. I did have to track down a working o-ring though. Big plus is that it can burn unleaded fuel. The last 4-5 years I've been using nothing but an alcohol stove. Far, far more dependable, easier to find fuel and cost is pretty much nonexistent. Durable? Even though I'm ~250#, I can stand on my 40 gram stove! Don't try that with the Whisperlite even if you weighed 100#! Anything else? Yes, there's no moving parts on it. Nothing to clean up. It burns CLEAN! If you're just heating water, alchy stoves are great way to go!
