Came across this article today:
Denver installs new bicycle lanes in downtown | Channel 2 News
"....number of auto versus bike collisions will rise...."
When I read this, I thought , 'that's not true, study after study has shown that there is safety in numbers, and when more bicycles are present in the street, it is actually safer'.
But then I realized, this web page does Not have a "Comments" section. So, I posted here...
IDK if it's the effect of having more "Human Road Cones", or if drivers get used to passing bikes (if there's no bikes, in winter for example , drivers might need some practice passing bikes safely), or if it's the fact that other bicycles would be "Witnesses", who might dispute the contention that it happened by accident...
But I'm sure I read somewhere that more bikes mean safer biking for all. Any comments?
