No acorn issue, but last week on a 60mi MUP ride, about 25mi of it was actively dodging walnut fruits. Not just the walnut, but that large outer soft fleshy covering- those things are huge and if you ride up on em at an angle- watch out cuz the tire is gonna slide out!
Walnuts and the occasional Osage orange, which are the size of baseballs and are slick when rotted. It's especially bad when the remains are hidden by leaves.
