Bikes: 1961 Ideor, 1966 Perfekt 3 Speed AB Hub, 1994 Bridgestone MB-6, 2006 Airnimal Joey, 2009 Thorn Sherpa, 2013 Thorn Nomad MkII, 2015 VO Pass Hunter, 2017 Lynskey Backroad, 2017 Raleigh Gran Prix, 1980s Bianchi Mixte on a trainer. Others are now gone.

I flip the switch on the back of mine to toggle from USB charging to light. USB port in the mount under the light grey weather cover.

I previously used a dedicated light and I was trying to build a USB charger with my soldering iron and electrical components. But when I went down hills I would blow out circuits, finally gave up and bought a new light/charger combination. At 25 mph with no load on the electrics, my hub would put out 34 volts AC.
