Just got back from a few days in Sicily. I had planned to ride from Palermo to Ciminna (my family has roots there), but decided my time was better spent at Cefalu.

The winter cycling at home in SoCal is about as scenic with much better roads.

I know I've listed it before, but this is a good introduction. The Santa Monicas virtually never get any snow:
