Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

The pattern of 40 spokes in the rear and 32 in the front was a very common practice in England, Beyond that, I am not of much help, other than noting that I once was a caretaker for a 1929 Raleigh rod-brake bicycle, and both the rim type, brake mechanics and frame styling were all very different from these bikes. I would guess that they are likely English, but not likely Raleighs.

edit - as I think this over a bit more - I realize it is hazardous to identify a bicycle from the wheels - so it is possible that the wheels are original, or replacements, Also it is hazardous to generalize that being different from one example that was once owned. I think it is safer to say that these are not Raleigh Sports models, and that if they are Raleighs, they would be less expensive models than the Sports.
