I spoke with a rider in my group today that raced for a number of years. A man he raced with is/was still racing at age 63. However, his test after placing in a race came back positive with EPO, which he admitted and said to not even test the "B" sample, it would be the same. To me it is outlandish for guys in their 60s, like me, to take EPO, even for racing, which I do not do. I was hoping some safe OTC supplement would help on long rides. My racing friend said he did not know of it. Training and proper diet is abut it unless you go with the bad stuff. I asked about the creatine. He said it will definitely add muscle if you work out correctly, but be careful of weight gain. Basically, he said everything that has been said in this thread except the subject of testosterone.
