Meh, I could go either way on using mine. its a 2.5L Harbor Freight version. It cleans stuff, which is obvious since the water gets incredibly black. But it doesn't clean nearly as well as my hands do.

On a neglected bike, ill toss components in some water with dish soap to soak for a couple hours. a quick brushing to get stuff off that softened from soaking, and then put it in the U/S cleaner for a couple of 90 second cleanings. Even after that, I still typically use a toothbrush and some wd40 to loosen and remove grit and grime in the corners of derailleurs.
Its a rare day when I can pull components out of the U/S cleaner and just dry them off.
