Yes, I have one of those Veloce as well. I'm now using it for 10-speed indexed, and I have used it for 7-speed friction with an 8-speed chain. Wife's old Terry has 8-speed indexing, but I haven't tried it on that bike. I don't have much worry about it working, however.
