Believe the 86 did have a fork like that. Same model/year but in pristine shape sat on CL near Portland ME for weeks at 450 this summer, too steep. I sold a nice 85 club from personal rider collection this spring @ 200 firm (2 hours north of portland) but it was totally ready to go with good tires, tuned, etc. The frame is different from the pro/opus/team frames though. The 85 club was a tad heavier vs the 84 team I kept, but rolled very smoothly and had a nice mixed ride of speed with stability--just as named!
