I rescued this Bianchi from a garage where it was neglected and sorely mistreated. "It was bought sometime in the 90's, ridden for a little while and then has just sat in the garage"
It is roughed up pretty good for just sitting in the garage. from the looks of it, a gorilla lived in the garage. Tires, cables, housings, and chain, bar tape, seat will all be replaced.
I have no personal experience with Bianchi's not made in Italy and limited experience with Tange tubing. Riding it, there is a definite 'skiddish-ness' to the front handling, even at low speeds. I expect that to be resolved with new tires and an overhaul of the hubs and headset.
What do you think of the frame? The components?
The original intent was to flip it but then I started thinking I would keep it as a winter / foul weather bike and / or putting wider, tougher tires on it and riding it as a gravel bike. Any thoughts on that?
