Turns out that they started in a different spot than the finish line.
Turns out that chasing from two waves back means you don't see your race
Turns out that not riding much makes you slow
Turns out that no matter how slow you are, there are slower people
Turns out that there are less of those people than faster people
Turns out that when they add half a BMX jump course into the mix your back will tighten up
Turns out that a new bike doesn't magically transcend all the above
