Which grease for bike wheel bolt threads? The correct answer is yes! What you use matters very little. That you use grease (or oil) is important and should be done for all the threads on your bike. (Don't feel you have to tear your bike down, grease everything and rebuild it. But do grease all your threads when you have that part of the bike apart.) Also the shafts of seatposts and quill stems.

I say this and there are those who argue that threadlock must be used in several places. I use it for certain things. But I have also ridden many bikes that never saw threadlock. Also, carbon fiber is different. Study up on it if you have a carbon fiber bike or parts. I never have and won't so I have had no reason to know and still don't.
