I'm in the process of buying a new bike...and therefor will need to also purchase pedals. At the LBS where I'm purchasing the bike, I was asked by the owner (who's wife also works at the shop and is a multiple World Cup medalist) if I have road bike pedals.I said, "yes" and he said, "good"...he said to use road pedals for road bikes...something about the way the the pedal has some side to side give with the cleat - better for the knees. Just throwing it out there. I imagine they know their stuff.
