We did have an inordinate number of failures with the UF dropouts, and changed to Campy 1010B dropouts as a result. Yoshi Kono at 3Rensho had similar problems and also changed to Campy. But if these ones have lasted 30 years without failure, I wouldn't be too concerned at this point.

Odd on the painted panels. Every other example I've seen shows the panels as decals.
Painted panels were used on the 750/770 and 950/970 models. Lower-end models got the panel decals.
