I've seen a few of those buzzing around Redmond, usually in close proximity to the Microsoft campus. I also see a dozen plus Teslas every day, and other unique vehicles too.

In short, geeks with lots of money = lots of alternative vehicles on the road.

It certainly wouldn't work for my commute, but there are areas around here where they would be viable. Without the expense of fuel and insurance, it could be economically favorable for some folks.
