Clothes hangers are for hanging clothes and speaker wire/cable.

Electrical connections are to be made using twisted baling wire.

It may appear that they are similar applications, but the sound qualities from clothes hanger wire is most excellent and baling wire is flexible enough to go around corners nicely.
